Sperm Festival is back!
After a year off, Sperm Festival, the contemporary art, music and visual culture event, is back. From Friday, April 23 to Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Prague's unique MeetFactory you'll have a chance to see, hear and experience several dozens of music performances, audiovisual projects, screenings, workshops and lectures. The nerd electro king Dan Deacon will spawn his now legendary one-man show, indie-pop Why? will return to Prague with their new album, other headliners include well-regarded tech-house producer Pantha du Prince or the audiovisual/architecture project SPAM - Karel Gott Prager by Vladimír 518, Ondřej Anděra and David Vrbík. Also in the line-up: Brooklyn's experimental duo High Places, new music score to the silent film Orlacs Hands by Floex & Líba, dubstep star Boxcutter will guide you throuh the dark side of the contemporary dance scene along with active local bass-oriented Owntempo label. Film section curated by Bio Oko will offer the All Tomorrow Parties film projection or music films by French cinematographer Vincent Moon (La Blogotheque / The Take-Away Shows and others). The line-up is still not complete, we'll be adding new names every day now!

We're starting! – 04.21.2011
Preparation for the opening night is in it's peak. We're decorating the place, installing projectors, lights, cables, sound systems and other stuff. We're looking forward to see you from 18.00 on Candas Sisman and Denis Radev workshop and right after then to Erotikon screening with live music by Forma from 19.30 which opens the festival!
Off-programme at Sperm festival – 04.19.2011
Sperm Festival is not just about music and actual trends. It also cares about education of its audience. As a part of the off-programme we serve a couple of interesting lectures and workshops. On friday from 18.00 will turkish visualists Candas Sisman a Denis Radev present their work but the main course will come on sunday. From 16.00 you can learn about music-educative activity Red Bull Music Academy and uncover the mysteries of Ableton software through the speak of their creators and musician Teapot. Then there will be a lecture about Easterndaze initiative which maps eastern-europe music scene. The whole evening will end with panel discussion on Crossing the Shadow or Czech music scene abroad.

Architecture in Helsinki releasing new album and playing in Prague – 04.08.2011
Next week, the Australian indie-pop troupe Architecture in Helsinki are releasing a new album "Moment Bends", four long years after their previous. During the subsequent tour, they will also play Prague for the first time - on Friday April 22 at MeetFactory.
Sperm Festival 2011: Crossing the Shadow – 03.07.2011
The fifth edition of Sperm Festival will take place between Friday, April 22 to Sunday, April 24 2011 at MeetFactory, Prague. Subtitled "Crossing the Shadow", first announced artists include Australia's electro-pop Architecture in Helsinki, acclaimed British producer and DJ James Holden, dubstep star Martyn, Swiss Kate Wax with band or three-piece Brandt Brauer Frick from Germany. More names will be added.
Tickets are already on sale at Ticketportal, Ticketstream and Ticketpro networks. Two day pass (Friday + Saturday) for 490 CZK + fees, after March 17 for 550 CZK + fees, one day tickets (Friday or Saturday) for 290 CZK + fees. Free entry on Sunday.
