The educational part of Sperm Festival covering current trends in music and focused on emerging creativity. Pushing forward since 2007 when we’ve held a successful workshop with Daedelus on circuit bending and Red Bull Music Academy infosession with artists performing at the festival, this year the festival will offer also lectures and screenings led by renown Czech journalists Pavel Klusák and Aleš Stuchlý.

ACT

Burbuja, Ghostmother, Semiconductor: Worlds in Flux

Performances and oppulent stage-show as a gage to all those solitaire-playing laptop acts. Both live projects of the evening, Burbuja and Ghostmother, are working with theatrical phraseology, replacing the traditional electronic live-act boredom and creating a spectacle out of originally digital compositions. The laptops are still plugged in, but thanks to dancers, an opera diva and even a magician, they’re put into background giving way to the fine texture of the stage show and music itself.
