Master Class with Dan Deacon on Saturday!

04.20.2010Festival Pass pre-sale continues until this Thursday, Apr 22. If you're planning to come for more than one evening, we strongly advice to get the pass. We'll be only selling daily tickets on door. More information in the Tickets section
About volcano ash threat to our line-up: Most artists and headliners will arrive using ground transport (train, tourbus, etc.). Some of the artists will fly-in, but everything is going according to the plan so far. If there will be any change and some artists wouldn't make it, we'll let you know in advance.

Jacob Korn will play Sperm
03.24.2010One of the last few names to the line-up: young "shooting star" of German tech-house scene Jacob Korn. If you haven't heard about him yet, this is your last call - releasing one great track after another, playing festivals like Sónar or Red Bull Music Academy, his future is all bright. Jacob will play on Saturday, April 24 after Pantha du Prince.

03.25.2010Or maybe two ... they were created during the preparation of this year's festival graphic design, which is done by a Jindřich Chalupecký Award laureate Tomáš Vaňek and our graphic design team Petr & Robert. Both versions, dark and light, will be screened at Bio Oko cinema.

03.21.2010After we've been all taken away by the stunning performance by Jamie Lidell at the first Sperm Festival in 2006, we're paying our due and inviting the other half of ingenious post-techno duoe Super_Collider (R.I.P). Cristian will perform on Friday April 23 in an a/v set with VJ Kolouch.
Robot Koch feat. Grace join the festival line-up
03.16.2010Our festival will see the great performance by Robot Koch. The creative force behinde music of Jahcoozi and one of the finest beatmakers in Germany will present his solo live act with his vocalist Grace. Robot Koch will play on Saturday, April 24 at the dub-laden stage alongside Boxcutter and trio ANS, Side900 and Subject Lost representing sharp dubstep label Owntempo.

03.09.2010A prime dubstep visionaire, Northern Ireland's own Boxcutter has made his mark with his excelent debut Oneiric, released on the legendary Planet Mu underground dance label in 2006. Since then, he released 3 more albums, latest being Arecibo Message from 2009. He'll perform at Sperm Festival in an exclusive live set.

Canadians Junior Boys will hit Prague's Roxy on Aug 4
07.29.2009Genre-defining electro-poppers Junior Boys from Canada will perform in Prague for the first time. After 10 years, 3 albums, rave reviews and constant touring, they've succeeded to bring up their synth pop to adulthood. This is true for their latest record Begone Dull Care, but especially for their mastered live shows. At Roxy, local heroes Sporto will join them with their hot new title More, the line-up will wrap up with MIDI LIDI performing an exclusive dj-set.
No Sperm Festival in 2009
01.20.2009We're sad to announce there will be no Sperm Festival in 2009 as you knew it in the past years. However, we're still busy preparing other events for 2009, so please watch this space. We'll be back with a regular concentrated event in 2009.

Animal Collective + Alog at Archa Theatre
07.23.2008One of the most influential indie bands of the decade, Animal Collective, will perform in Czech Republic for the first time. The quartett known for their experiments in pop and/or new folk will play on October 14, 2008 at Archa Theatre, Prague. Norwegian electronic duo Alog will open the night. This show is brought to you by Sperm and Stimul festivals.

Abaton Today
03.08.2008This year's final festival evening will take place today at Prostor Abaton. The door will open at 7:30pm, first show by shoegaze dreamers Subnbus and Semiconductros screening will start at 8pm, so don't be late! The presale period is now over, on-door price is 320 CZK. See you there!

Introducing: Deadbeat
03.01.2008Canadian prodigy Deadbeat, known for his dub-techno rhythms, has released his fifth album Journeyman's Annual on the ~scape label last year, plus added a 12" dance vinyl Eastward on to Mecca this January. Besides his performance at the festival (Saturday, March 8 at Abaton), Deadbeat will also participate on the Red Bull Music Academy Infosession on Friday at La Fabrika theatre. Tomorrow from 7pm on Czech Radio 3 - Vltava you'll hear Modeselektor and Deadbeat profiles presented by Tomáš Dvořák. Finally, on Friday from 7pm you'll have a chance to hear the whole Modeselektor album Hello Mom (2005) in Radio 1's programme CD Nonstop.

Introducing: Joakim & His Ectoplasmic Band
02.24.2008Frenchmen Joakim will perform on Saturday March 8 in Abaton with his fellow Ectoplasmics - eg. with the same band as on the prestigious Club Transmedial in Berlin or norwegian Insomnia festival - and will turn his originally electronic tracks off his latest Monsters & Silly Songs (!K7, 2007) album into full-swinging rock pieces.
