He studied computer and information technologies and applied mathematics at the Faculty of Electrotechnics and informatics of the VŠB-TU in Ostrava. He focuses mostly on sound in music, multimedia and interactive instalations, both in theory and practice. In these areas he deals first of all with algorithmic composition, sonification, modeling and simulation, micrototality and theory of modulation. Since the 1980s he has often taken part in exhibitions and shows. He constructs his own electronic music instruments, programs and hardware for sound and MIDI projects. He also collaborates on the technical conception and realization of various other projects of other artists.
