In 2006 Chris Clark shortened his name to just "Clark". His music also underwent a process of simplification. The sound on which he had been working for three years crystalized into the form of last year's EP Throttle Furniture from the album Body Riddle. His music reflects influences such as Prefuse 73, Aphex Twin and Boards Of Canada and remoulds them completely – this offers clear evidence of his skill and originality at any moment of listening. Besides turning Warp back to its original electronic essence Clark offers, along with his current indie rock activities, an innovative dimension. On Body Riddle, Clark puts a mirror to clear and pure emotions, which can be so difficult to display through sonic layers. He plays the material recorded on this album live with the drummer and shows that even a completely basic electronica and rhythmics have an exclusively human dimension. It is quite rare to see an artist at the top of his creative game. There is an opportunity to do just this on February 24th together with Chris Clark.
